Sagify implements several checks to try and match a customer from Shopify with one entered in Sage. It will attempt to match on one of the following:

  1. Customer’s name

  1. Email
    1. Domain matching: Sagify will first check an exact match, followed by a domain check. For example, if a company has multiple employees placing orders ([email protected], [email protected]), then Sagify will look for a common email domain (i.e., companyabc.com.

  1. Phone

  1. Pattern-match: Based on your Customer creation setting (i.e., Customers are creating using the first 5 characters of the company name if present otherwise personal name).

If no match is found, and you’ve chosen to create customers in Sagify, then a customer will be created based on the Customer ID criteria set by you in Sagify. See how to set the Customer ID criteria in Sagify.
